Following a big win in the quarterfinals, the programs' first tournament win since 2018, the Lady Griz lost to No. 2-seed Northern Arizona in a tight game that Montana could never quite get over the hump in. After winning 22 games, there is hope that the Lady Griz will be able to continue their season in a postseason tournament of some fashion.

Monday, March 11
In a tournament that saw the underdog win the first quarterfinal games, No. 3 seed Montana came out on top over No. 6 Portland State, leading from start to finish. The Grizzlies got 27 points from Aanen Moody and received a balanced effort from both its senior starters and reserves.

The Lady Griz earned their first postseason victory since 2018, including their first since the tournament moved to Boise, with a 73-61 victory over Idaho. Five players were in double figures for scoring, as Montana never trailed in the contest and held a 24-point lead in the second half.

One day before opening the Big Sky tournament, Griz fans in Boise gathered for a pep rally at White Dog Brewing Co.

Prior to Sunday's practice at Boise State, the men's players had a little fun answering a simple question: Could you successfully land an airplane in an emergency situation?
It's always a good time, and a lot of dancing, when graduate senior Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw is mic'd up!
During their first full day in Boise, both teams got on the hardwood for a pre-tournament practice.

The Griz arrived to Boise on Saturday evening, ahead of their Monday game vs. Portland State.
Thursday, March 7
A total of seven Griz and Lady Griz players were recognized by the Big Sky Conference, with Carmen Gfeller and Aanen Moody earning first-team honors; Dani Bartsch, Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw and Dischon Thomas being named to the second teams; and Brandon Whitney being selected honorable mention. Additionally, several players earned specialty awards: Espenmiller-McGraw (newcomer of the year), Gina Marxen (top reserve) and Bartsch (all-defensive team).

Radio personalities Riley Corcoran and Ace Sauerwein dive into the upcoming tournament on this week's Grizzly Coaches' Show, featuring in-depth analysis, as well as a conversation with Lady Griz head coach Brian Holsinger.
Tuesday, March 5
Following wins over Idaho State, both the Griz and Lady Griz earned No. 3 seeds at the Big Sky Conference Championships. The tournament begins on Saturday, with the Montana schools starting play on Monday.

Tuesday, March 12
For the second night in a row, Montana led from start to finish in a 72-58 semifinal win over Idaho State. The win gave head coach Travis DeCuire his 200th career win, and advanced Montana to the title game for the fifth time in nine tries under DeCuire.
Montana will now play rival Montana State in the championship, the first Griz-Cat finals since 1986.
