Vandals top Grizzlies 7-0 in Moscow

Idaho defeated the Montana women's tennis team by a score of 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at UI's Memorial Gym Courts in Moscow, Idaho.

The Grizzlies (2-19, 1-9 BSC) will conclude their season on Sunday with a match at Eastern Washington.

The Vandals (13-7, 9-1 BSC) will host Montana State on Sunday. The winner will finish second in the Big Sky Conference behind undefeated regular-season champion Northern Arizona and earn a bye to the semifinals at next week's league tournament in Phoenix.

The Vandals won all three doubles matches on Saturday by 6-2 scores and clinched the win with straight-set wins at No. 6, 4 and 1.

The other three singles matches went to a third-set tiebreaker, with the Vandals claiming all three.

Lidia Dukic lost her tiebreaker 10-7 at No. 2 to make it 5-0, Catherine Orfanos fell 10-5 at No. 3 as Idaho went up 6-0, and Shion Watabe rallied back from down a set to defeat Cam Kincaid at No. 5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) to finish off the sweep.
