Griz continue fall schedule at Cougar Classic in Pullman

The Montana women's tennis team returns to action this weekend at the Washington State Cougar Classic, Sept. 24-26 at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts in Pullman, Washington.

Play begins at 10 a.m. (PT) Friday with two rounds of doubles followed by a round of singles. Saturday also begins at 10 a.m. with two rounds of singles. Sunday's play begins at 8 a.m. with the doubles finals followed by singles finals at 9 a.m.

The Cougar Classic will consist of three flights of singles and three flights of doubles.

Head coach Steve Ascher will get reps for nearly his whole squad this weekend, with freshmen Rosie Sterk and Grace Haugen playing for a second-straight week and Aili Hietala seeing her first action as a Grizzly. Sophomore Ivayla Mitkova makes the trip, along with juniors Maria Goheen and Olivia Oosterbaan, and senior Lauren Dunlap.

Joining the Grizzlies in the 2021 Cougar Classic tournament are Boise State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Portland State, Seattle, Utah State, and the host Cougars.
