Griz set to host Weber State in Missoula

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Montana women's tennis team is back in full swing, taking on Weber State for its fifth Big Sky Conference match of the season on Saturday, March 26. The Griz are in search of their first conference win of the year, having the home advantage on their side.
The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start at the PEAK Racquet Club in Missoula, Mont., with free admission for all fans and spectators. Live scoring will also be available for those who are not in attendance.
"We're excited to have Weber State come play in Missoula. The players have been working hard and we're excited to see some growth," said head coach Steve Ascher.
The Griz are coming off a short break after playing in Oregon for two matches. Montana came away 1-1 on the weekend, defeating George Fox and falling to Portland State. Senior Lauren Dunlap came away undefeated in singles, defeating each of her opponents in three sets.

SCOUTING WEBER STATE:
- Weber State is 9-6 overall while owning a conference record of 3-0 on the season. The Wildcats have defeated Northern Arizona, Portland State and Eastern Washington thus far in conference play.
- Junior Megan Lombardi returns to the courts as she leads the team in singles, carrying a record of 10-5.
- Yuuna Ukita and Lombardi also lead the team in doubles, owning a record of 11-3 on the year.
- Head coach Ruthann Allen is in the midst of her fourth season at Weber State where she owns a record of 41-29.
A GLIMPSE AT THE GRIZ:
- Montana is 5-11 on the year and 0-4 in Big Sky play. The Griz have edged Seattle, LC State, Dixie State and George Fox throughout the season.
- Senior Lauren Dunlap leads the Griz in singles, carrying a record of 8-7.
- Freshman Rosie Sterk holds a record of 4-2 on the season, as well as a 5-6 doubles record.
- Grizzlies Grace Haugen and Dunlap are 4-1 as a duo, leading the team in doubles together.
- Head coach Steve Ascher owns a record of 125-181 in his 14th season with the Griz.
